Who we are
Amazon Harmony is rooted in respect for traditional Brazilian Hapé, the people who prepare it and the knowledge carried through generations.
Our focus is on Hapé prepared in Brazil and on the traditions and communities from which these blends come. We work with a carefully selected range of Hapé made with traditional plants, ashes and wild tobacco, each with its own character, purpose and lineage.
Hapé comes from living traditions that have been preserved and passed down through generations and we believe it should be approached with awareness, responsibility and respect.
Traditional Hapé blends contain tobacco and are intended for adults only.
The information we share is educational and is not intended as medical advice.
Ceremony
A Hapé ceremony can be shared between two people, with one person administering the Hapé to the other using a Tepi, a longer blowpipe traditionally made from materials such as bamboo or bone.
The application is usually given with intention and presence, creating a clear moment of focus and connection between the giver and receiver.
Hapé can also be used alone.
For self administration, a smaller V shaped pipe called a Kuripe is used, allowing the Hapé to be applied into each nostril.
This can create a more personal and inward focused moment for intention, reflection, meditation or grounding.
Whether shared with another person or used alone, Hapé is best approached with awareness, respect and responsibility.
Values
Grounding
Hapé is often used to support a sense of grounding, helping bring attention back to the body and the present moment.
Focus
Its immediate and intense nature can create a clear pause, making it easier to step away from mental noise and focus on what is happening now.
Intention
Hapé is commonly used with intention. This can be a moment to reflect, set direction, pray, meditate or simply become more conscious of what you are feeling and experiencing.
Reflection
Many people use Hapé as part of quiet inner work, creating space to observe thoughts, emotions and patterns with greater awareness.
Connection
In ceremonial settings, Hapé can support a deeper sense of connection with nature, community, prayer and spiritual practice.
Presence
The experience can help create a strong sense of being fully present in the moment, rather than remaining caught in distraction or constant mental activity.
Ritual
Hapé can become part of a personal or shared ritual, giving structure to moments of meditation, contemplation or conscious transition.
Our Story
Our story grew from many years of personal experience with Hapé and other Amazonian traditions.
For over 12 years, we have built relationships with people and communities in Brazil, learning more about Hapé, its preparation, its traditional context and the plants used in different blends.
Over time, this connection naturally became Amazon Harmony.
We carefully select the Hapé we offer, paying attention to its origin, preparation and character. For us, it is important to understand where each blend comes from and to share that information as clearly and honestly as possible.
Hapé has been part of our own path of reflection, ceremony and connection with nature, and we created Amazon Harmony to share this tradition with others in a respectful and responsible way.
If you have questions about our Hapé or would like help understanding the differences between blends, you are always welcome to contact us.
